When did you start working at AKW?

I commenced at AKW on 10 September 1993.

Why are you called Gup?

Gup is short for Guppo which is a name that one of my schoolmates came up with at boarding school in the 70s. It is a name that has no reasonable explanation but it has stuck.

Is there any funny footy stories you could share?

I have no funny footy stories. I really was a very average player, but did manage to play rugby league, aussie rules and rugby (briefly). I did get a best and fairest award in Touch football in 1984. It is the ONLY footy trophy I have. Although I do recall getting “most improved” award for Boree Creek second grade!

Other than hanging out at AKW what do you really enjoy doing?

I enjoy nothing better than farming. (Other than seeing my kids) Farming is my go to happy place. And I get to do that with my best friend (who I am married to).

What do you like most about helping your clients?

Client relationships are key. By understanding the business and family relationships we can assist with intergenerational wealth transfer, business succession, structuring and so much more.

Achieving tax effective business succession outcomes that result in both wealth protection and growth is very rewarding.
